Molokini Crater – Crescent Island in Hawaii


Once a mighty volcano, it is now a submerged crater which is home to a number of species of birds and fishes and is also a treat for the divers and snorkelers. The Molokini Crater falls on the Alalakeiki Channel and is between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe in Hawaii. The crescent shaped crater covers an area of 23 acres and has a diameter of 0.4 miles. It has the State Sea Bird Sanctuary of Hawaii.

The World Islands (archipelago) – Dubai


Going across the World is something that only few people can do in their lifetime. However, if you visit Dubai then there is a chance of covering the world within half a day. This is made possible by the creation of the artificially made archipelago of small islands on the Persian Gulf which reflect the map of the World. These islands, together called the World Islands, are situated at a distance of 4 kilometres from the coast of Dubai and is in continuation with the other artificial islands of the rich city.

If you are adventurous enough to explore all possible landforms on one island then Madagascar is the place to be. Alongside the mainland there are a couple of small peripheral islands as well which together form the Republic of Madagascar. There are hardly any places on the face of Earth with so much variety of landforms and wildlife in one place. Starting from beaches to forests to desert, this fourth largest island has everything you can dream of. The highlight of the area is that amongst all its plant and animal life there is 5% which is found only and only on Madagascar.
